Neon rain on damp tarmac
A synthetic pulse goes out of rhythm
The signal is lost
In a labyrinth
Of steel
And dark mirrors
Where the plastic world breathes
Acrid fumes
I searched for your silhouette
Amongst the holograms
Burning titanium
Under a pulsing glow
MICROCHIPS MALFUNCTION
From unspent pain
Electric current turns to smoke.
I searched for a drop of living resin
Within you
But you remained an empty phantom
I ripped my
HEART FROM MY CHEST
And flung it at your feet
Watch as the networks
And currents melt away
Watch as the neon roads fade
To darkness
The sparks
On the sudden concrete synthetic
Blood flows
In this dead
Glass neighborhood
I trampled our love
