Mostafa Elsaadi — Black Sun

The sky went black
I didn't run
I watched the world
Forget the sun
And singing
The towers were their golden faces
The streets were dressed in borrowed light
I built my faith on marble pillars
Never thought they'd fall at night.
Then the ground began to tremble
Every promise split in two
All the things
I call eternal
Turned to ashes in the blue
No more stars above me.
No more signs below.
When the heavens lost their fire,
I discovered what
I know.
Bless
Burn through the light.
Bless
Open my eyes.
Let the old turn to dust
Let the silence shake the ground.
I was blind beneath the daylight.
Now I see
When the sun goes down oh
I see oh
I found the crumb beneath the rubble
Found the throne without a king
Found the truth
I kept imprisoned
Underneath everything
I had beggy for answers.
I had waited for a sign, but the darkness never saved me
They just showed me what was mine.
No more stars above me.
No more signs below.
When the heavens lost their fire,
I discovered what
I know.
Oh, black sun
Burn through the light.
Black sun
Open my eyes.
Let the old world turn to dust.
Let the silence shake the ground.
I was blind beneath the daylight.
Now I see
When the sun goes down.
Sunlight sunlight sunlight
If tomorrow brings no more
If the horizon stays undone
I will be the spark remaining
When the world forgets the sun
I am
Turn to dust.
Hear the thunder shake the ground.
I was blind beneath the daylight.
Now I see
When the sun goes down
Black sun
