Fablefun — Beast Inside Me

B-b-b-b-boom boom boom.
Boom, boom.
B-b-b-b-boom boom boom. Boom.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom. There's something breathing in the dark.
Behind my eyes, behind my soul.
I hear it scratching at the walls inside my mind.
A shadow born with me, a curse I cannot hide.
Every step I take, it follows close behind.
Waiting for the moment
when the chains unwind.
I fear the day I lose control.
I fear the beast becoming whole.
Beast inside me, raging in the dark.
Beast inside me, tearing me apart.
I lock the cage but it never dies.
I see its hunger through my own eyes.
Beast inside me, don't let it break free tonight.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom. B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom.
I keep my distance, I push the world away.
Afraid that someone innocent will have to pay.
They see a man,
but they don't know what's beneath.
The monster growing stronger with every breath I breathe.
I hear it call.
I hear it scream.
Its voice becomes
part of me.
If I fall,
run away.
Don't believe a word I say.
When the monster wears my face,
there'll be nothing left to save.
Beast inside me, now the chains are gone.
Beast inside me, I've held you back too long.
The fear, the pain, the endless fight.
Turn me into the thing I hide.
Beast inside me, I feel you waking up tonight.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom. B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom.
B-b-b-b-b-b-boom boom.
The cage is broken.
The beast is awake.
And I'm still inside...
watching.
