Katseye — Wild Concept Photoshoot Behind The Scenes

Hi, my name's umberto leon and
I am the creative director of kENZAI
So, for wild
Heart, one of the main pillars
Was this idea of disguises
And the way disguises become a
Way of deflecting
Attention, ways of transforming into
Different people
It's really fun because this shoot sort
Of allows us to explore
Different sides of us that we haven't
Really shown before.
This concept photo
Shoot is the most we've gone with our versatility.
We want to be able
To be so versatile and to have so many
Different parts of creativity.
So, it's
Really really fun
The idea of experimenting with new personas, girly or masculine or being polished or a little grungy
Being soft versus hard
Today you're getting boggy kENZAI.
And
Boggy is like handsome in my language
I think it's so beautiful that we're all
Able to find comfort in our masculinity
And also a lot of confidence and comfort
In our femininity
You know anything about stocks can

The vibes are so good.
We're moving so fast.
I feel like
I have just
Been 10 different people in the past
Hour and
I get to live in a different
Character for like 2 minutes.
It's
Really crazy.
It's just filling myself
So much right now
Yeah, and your face is just covered.
Oh
You can see a little bit of it.
I knew
That we would be doing so cuz this is like who
I am.
I'm crazy.
This was like
A god.
Like you were dressed as like
Little dolls, like little porcelain like doll.
It was like so pretty
You know, plastic is a material
That could be stretched, manipulated
Melted, sculpted, reimagined.
And so we
Really used that as a metaphor
And throughout you'll see the disguises
And you see that we use these kind of plastic wraps to encase these
Almost these boxes where the members all wore the same wig and the same outfits and they're almost kind of this idea
Of disguising as one
As a unit
I hope that you guys see this and the icons are like this is just sick.
Like
This is such a new way of looking at cast sci.
Like
I've never
Thought or expected to see them
In this look.
I hope you guys are about shocked
So, for wild
World, the idea was really
Focusing on all these projections and we
Decided to project on the members, we
Projected on homes, we projected
On clothing.
So really it was this
Entire idea of projections onto these
Different people and objects.
The cool
Thing is that while the members
Are being photographed, they seem quite
Unfazed and so there's this
Interesting juxtaposition between what
Is being projected on them and what is
Their reactions
Clears throat
We start to project things like clothing
Onto these canvases and so you
See the members wearing these white
Garments, and all these different things
Are projected on them.
The idea
Is that we're visualizing how the world
Projects identities and fantasies
And narratives onto the group
Initially, we really looked at wild
As this perfect continuation of beautiful chaos.
I think the word wild is perfect because it's a
Singular word that has so much meaning
And
I think that wild in itself
Could mean transcendence and really just
Kind of this idea of evolving and and really kind of moving around.
It could just mean so
Many different things.
The word wild has
So much room for interpretation and allows everyone to express
Themselves in their own wild way
I'm having really fun because
Every single photos are looking so good
The outfits are eating, our
Wigs, our makeup, our hair, our stylist everything.
And our photos.
I'm actually
Like very very excited
I feel like we grew up so much from
Since debut or even pre-debut.
I
Remember when
I first shooting eP1
Was it this soft to strong?
I was making
Only one face.
And
I was just like
And now
I can make a variety face, like a lot of face, different face
I feel like
I can pull up a lot of different concepts.
So, I really
I'm really loving it
I'm feeling so happy with everything that is happening at
Dreamcatcher right now.
I think this is
Honestly one of my favorites.
I think
All the looks, all the transforming that
We've done today has literally been so wild
This is definitely the wildest you've
Ever been.
There's so much you can do
With wild.
Like it can go anywhere
We're getting a lot more comfortable in our creativity and who we are as artists
Because we've spent so much time
Learning who we are, we're able to sort
Of hold on to that and be more trusting
And more comfortable when it comes to kind of stepping out of our comfort zone
Looking at the wild era, every single
Look that contributed to both
The wild heart and the wild world album
Completes it as a whole.
And to me, that's what makes the wild era
It makes me really excited for everyone
To see the
EP and like to take on this
New character of ours and i
Really hope they love it as much as i do
The whole concept of this feels a lot
More mature and like authentic
To all of us.
I think we're just like
Really eager for you guys to see this.
Like
I can't wait.

For this to come out.
I think
It's like the perfect step forward for
Cat's Eye
Seeing all these transformations
That were in our 30P with wild
It's so exciting to see the
Cat's eye
Journey and the growth.
We're about to start our wild world tour and
I'm so excited to see
The next chapter in the future of
Cat's eye.
